A thank you letter

Recommended Posts

Dear Klei,

1st off I'm a 26 years old person who had Shingles ( Herpes Zoster ) about 3 weeks ago and had to be caged in my room for about 2 weeks as the doctor instructed due to how painful and infectious the condition was . For 2 weeks being caged in the room I had nothing interesting to do besides setting on my PC and hope I could get something worth spending time on since most games I had in February either I finish it or wasn't even good to start playing it . I saw on my steam library something I bought for a really low price ( was like 7$ on steam sales I can't remember the exact price ) and I didn't give it the time it deserves and that game was "Don't Starve Together" . Day after day the more time I spend on this game it gets even more and more interesting I was amazed of myself I get bored pretty fast from playing the same game for quite a time but this one is different somehow even though it have the one concept of staying alive in the same randomly generated maps also even though it's still on early access and way pretty cheap to buy considering it's worth of total hours spent by player in the game I couldn't see myself having enough of it I mean I'd be a hypocrite if I say this game is incomplete because believe me I played tons of games and I never saw a more complete early access game than this . Screw me this game is even more fun and WAY more complete than most of triple (A) "Released" games that would cost you 50$ minimum and yes I did quote the word release for a really good reason . How this game made my 2 weeks prison at my room way too easy was astonishing day after day playing it I didn't even realize the pain and disease went away also the way I was into the game I didn't even felt much of a pain from my condition to begin with , and of course my friend list in steam went higher there is no doubt about that :p . In the end I wanna say Klei than you very much for this wonderful atmospheric game if there is a way to support the game I would really do it but I did say to myself "How about starting it in a thank you letter and we can start from there ?" keep up the wonderful job in this game and I would really hope this game find its release .

yours sincerely,

Healfree , a really big fan

I knew there were other young people who get the shingles but I have never heard anyone talk about it until you have right now.  I too am 26, but I got the shingles when I was about 14.  Luckily it was only on my right side of my head so I could still wear clothes, go to school, and sleep on my left side without feeling pain.

I agree, this game has a lot more content then most triple A titles.  Klei has a done an excellent job with communication and rolling out new content to the community and they deserve credit for that.  The game being mod able also keeps this game alive and running as well.

Really sorry to hear that, Yeah shingles is really bad and it is indeed rare on young people as I was told.
