Yarr! Ohoy maties!

First off, I love Woodlegs. He looks amazing and has amazing qoutes with an amazing voice. I love his ship and his lucky hat. I also love his sanity loss on land, it makes the game a little bit more difficult and that's always funny. But the problem is. A character isn't that funny if they don't have something really special about them. And Woodlegs in RoG simply looses sanity all the time.

So I thought I would make a thread where we could talk about some perks that would make Woodlegs an interesting character outside of Shipwrecked even though he's kind of the icon of the expansion...

Remove the can't drown perk!

It's simple and I think everybody agrees with it. It's not funny to be invunerable. And Woodlegs pretty much is. Oh I've got low health? Well just drown. Oh I'm dying of hunger? Well just drown, and so on. Remove it.

Woodlegs is litterally named peglegs... and we've got a useless item called pegleg...

This is the perk that I've seen on a couple of topics and I think it sounds amazing. Woodlegs has two extra slots over his hat and armour slots. They're called left pegleg and right pegleg. In these slots he can put, you guessed it, peglegs. He can craft them with two logs and a rope. When he wears the peglegs he gains 50% more movement speed than other characters. But when the peglegs looses durability Woodlegs also looses speed, meaning that he walks faster than all other characters at 50% durability or higher and slower at 50% durability or lower. If woodlegs Takes away a pegleg his movement speed is halved. He can use one of his peglegs as a weapon while still using the other one for walking. If he loses both of his peglegs he then has 10% of the normal walkspeed and has to crawl on his stomach.

It would also be cool if he could craft a golden pegleg with an electrical doodad and two gold. They have the same durability as a pegleg but Woodlegs has the same walkspeed even if they loose durability. Or they could stop him from loosing durability when he's on land. (they are so dapper!).

Please tell me what you think of the pegleg perk!

Bathtub or an inflatable ring...

When in RoG, Woodlegs should be able to craft either a bathtub or an inflatable ring. You would be able to put the ring in a pond and it would act as a tiny boat. He would either gain or not loose sanity while on it. The bathtub would work in the same way but you could put it anywhere.

His luckyhat would work in RoG

Plain and simple. It would make him a little op but you could tweak it so he could only gain RoG items in the chests or worse items.

As a last note I just want to say thank you to Klei and Capy! This expansion has been amazingly fun and it's so great to see a whole new world and get to play the game in a whole new style. This whole post has been complaints so far so I thought I would say thanks in the end. As I said before, I love Woodlegs I just want him to be interesting in RoG too!

Please tell me what you think of my ideas and please post your own ones! Tell me that I should stop complaining and appreciate what I have ... Make me feel it...

I love the peg leg idea but not so much the rubber ring. Seems obsolete.

Perhaps more weird legs. A Speargun leg to pull a Cherry Darling but requires other leg to be normal

Or Walking Cane legs

Umbrella legs with handstands! Think of the possibilities.

now THAT sounds amazing. I really love the umbrella hand stand although that's taking it to the next level. I thought about adding a battle pegleg wich would actually be a good weapon making woodlegs use the extra slots in his inventory to his advantage but it seemed a little bit too complicated. I love the sneaky gun leg though sounds like a good way of not having to carry around a bunch of boomerangs or blowdarts

@MoloMan I'm pretty sure that's pimplegs in the 2nd drawing.

Ofc. Like I said, there's nothing more dapper than two golden legs. (except the golden toilet, but what could beat that?)
