WillPwn4Food
I'm not one to typically suggest player buffs, but after playing a world for almost two full cycles, it seems there needs to be a small tweak at sea. I believe a small boost to the current acceleration of boats would relieve a lot of the frustration, without diminishing the fair challenges, that players are currently experiencing. We're used to being able to duck in and out of swipes via the typical kiting method, but it is now obvious that Klei/Capy wants us to rely more on ranged weaponry for fights at sea. This is fine design choice as it makes aquatic combat more than just a re-skin of land combat, but it is rather frustrating how difficult it can be to take on even a single shark without taking a hit about half the time (if I'm just bad at it, please tell me how to get better). I suggest a mild increase to acceleration of all (or just some) watercraft. Rushing in right after an attack isn't hard; it's the getting away that is unreliable. This would allow for 1 v 1 basic mobs to be the typical, simple fight that we are used to, but in swarms we'd still be overwhelmed, thus maintaining the generally higher difficulty that SW affords. (Yes, I'm pretty much just talking about sharks here) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/64927-suggestion-slightly-increase-boat-acceleration/ Share on other sites
