3Nex
Hi, sometimes when I die, I feel bad for all the lost progress, and the lost base. So I am wondering if there is any way of getting some kind of a screenshot (or something) of the world as it was when I died? Maybe with a mod, or the game dumps that stuff in a log file automatically? Thanks. Mobbstar
There's a mod called "compromising survival", if that is what you want. It should be possible to make a "ghost phase" mod, but I don't think there is one. Alternatively, you can retreat to the traditional layout saver known as retention/memory/remembrance/longthinking. Sure, because remembrance is how you get a screenshot, I'll take a note, thanks. DragonMage156
If you have the game on Steam, you can take a screenshot via screenshot button (F12). Other than that, I'm not sure. You could always use Print Screen button, located next to F12, to take a screenshot if it isn't in fullscreen. It worked with Quintessence the other day when I played so it would most likely work for Don't Starve. I hope this helped Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/64770-seeing-my-old-worlds/#findComment-726828 Share on other sites
3Nex
Well, what I meant was I don't really know when I'm gonna die in advance in order to take an actual screenshot myself in time. So once I do die (and also for all the very old games from the Morgue), it would be nice to have some kind of an exported map, a reconstruction, a dump file, of what the map looked like on my last day. You know what I mean? Currently, Mobbstar's suggestion for the mod works; I'd have to say that I "don't want to die", just so that I could go back and take a plain old screenshot, and then have a picture saved. Which is okay. So now my question is, is there an even better way than that? Didn't anyone else ever want the same thing? Don't you guys get nostalgic about your worlds that you have been building for 100 days, and then died and lost all of it? Never made it to 100 days but there have been multiple times where I had a pretty solid base or a really good run. All gone -_- Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/64770-seeing-my-old-worlds/#findComment-727002 Share on other sites
