Clockwork monster suggestion

Recommended Posts

I've seen the "clock-o dial" monster suggestion floating around. It sounds like an amphibious clockwork monster. Which made me think, what are we missing in terms of clockwork monsters. All existing ones are essentially chess pieces. Floaty Boaty Knights do not fit in that category.

So my suggestion is to replace Floaty Boaty Knights with Clockwork Prawns. Which adds another chess piece, and is sea-themed.

What do you think?

I think he mean Prawns as in "Pawns" and actual Prawns much like the Dragonfly is actually a Dragon and a Fly... and a Dragonfly...

It's this part that has me a bit tangled, because floaty boaty knights do fit in that category. They are chess pieces.

Well, yes, I was just iterating that the prawn part could have been the prawn-pawn connection since you already pointed out that the Floaty Boaty Knights are indeed

Knights are a chess piece and boats are technically sea themed.

And I guess I just phrased that wrong... sorry and thank you.

What I mean by "Floaty Boaty Knights" not fitting is because of their name not matching "Clockwork <chesspiece>" pattern. While they share Clockwork Knight face and Knight name, they don't feel like they are part of the family to me.

maybe instead of them being part of the "normal" family we need more clockwork models to make their own SW family :> i like the idea of other chess pieces, like pawns for example. perhaps the pawns could be more like little mechanical buoys that surround a single larger clockwork and only drop 1 gear each?
