vigilantia Posted January 16, 2016 Share Posted January 16, 2016 So I was really looking forward to unlocking Warly for the new update. I started a Shipwrecked file got up to day 29 or so, died, and expected that it would be enough to unlock him. However, when the screen popped up to show me my experience gained, the bar filled up... and unlocked Wigfrid and Walani, even though I've had both unlocked for quite some time and was even playing as Walani before I died. The shadow of the next reward appeared to be Warly, so even though I was confused, I went back in to gain the remaining experience required to unlock him. When I died again, I expected that would be enough to unlock Warly. But then when the screen popped up, the shadow of the next reward was clearly Wigfrid. I have no idea how, but the experience seems to keep being set back or something. I even went back in to play with Wigfrid in Shipwrecked and, when I died, it showed that she was still the next reward, which makes no sense. Needless to say, it's mildly frustrating and I don't know what's causing this. I play using Steam on the PC and I don't have any mods. JanH Posted January 19, 2016 Share Posted January 19, 2016 Thanks for the report, do you happen to have any mods installed when this happens? Try disabling the mods to see if that makes a difference. If not, please post your log.txt file from your "documents\klei\donotstarve\" folder so we can take a look at the output. A few short test runs later and it was letting me gain experience towards Wigfrid without resetting, so once I was able to get the remaining experience to unlock Wigfrid and the necessary experience to unlock both Walani and Warly, all in one run, all three were unlocked and it said that I had reached my cap. I still have no idea what happened, but it hasn't been set back since. I've attached my log regardless. vigilantia Posted January 22, 2016 Author Share Posted January 22, 2016 Nope, I've never used console commands or any sort of altering of the game. I know it sounds like a strange glitch, but I really can't think of anything I could have done to cause it since I play without any alterations/additions. Regardless, I managed to work through it, so maybe it was a one time thing. I've unlocked her already, but whenever I die and get to the experience screen, it starts at the beginning of the bar to unlock her.
