WillPwn4Food
I'm becoming paranoid about losing my DS worlds due to an update mishap, as some already have. I can see it is very straightforward to backup on PC, but I'm not having any luck on my mac. The save folder in user/documents/klei/donotstarve/save has only "mod_config_data" and it's empty. Similarly, the dont_starve folder in user/library/applicationsupport/steam/steamapps/common/dont_starve contains the actual game and the version text file. Where are saves stored on mac? I'd really like to have them safe and secure somewhere else on my computer Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/62390-paranoid-about-losing-ds-saves-due-to-update-mishap/ Share on other sites
Developer ImDaMisterL Posted January 13, 2016 Developer Share Posted January 13, 2016 According to the Don't Starve Wiki, you can find your DS save files on your Mac here: ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/userdata/{unique ID}/219740/remote/ Your save files will only be in ~/Documents/Klei/DoNotStarve/save/ if you got Steam Cloud disabled.
