Any particular reason for the four a week limit on the skins?

Recommended Posts

I don't know about anyone else, but my playtime in DST comes when I get time off from work, which is usually on weekends, the occasional vacation day, and the holidays. So I'm not a consistent week in/week out player. But I do log significant time into the game. I do enjoy collecting the different outfits. I just don't understand, especially in the case of double skins, the need to limit the skins to four a week (at least that's what I've seen and heard, I've never gotten more than four in a week). I get that you don't want people to just run in godmode all night, and collect skin after skin. But I think there should be compromise to it. Maybe six to eight? Please?

How can you even get a skin...?Is my game not up to date for some reason? I don't see the Wardrobe at all... :(

I'm not really even sure what that is! Is that an add-on?

Actually it's kinda a beta within the beta. How to opt into the caves and skins beta:

1) In Steam go to your games Library, then right click on the name "Dont Starve Together Beta' in the list, and select 'Properties' at the bottom of the drop down menu that appears.

2) In the properties menu select the 'Betas' tab. Then, select the beta you would like to opt into. Your current options are none and opt into caves beta. The, wait for the game to update, and you're all set.

You can switch between the two as you please. There will probably be less server variety in the cavesbeta. Have fun!

The devs want to introduce skins slowly, especially since not all players have opted in. All new economies are intrinsically fragile, so limiting the number of drops allows the devs to control the growth (and limit the importance) of something that, while collectible, is only cosmetic.
