Crock pot Rot (Bacon/eggs)

So I've been putting quite fresh ingredients in the crock pot to make Bacon and Eggs (Cooked MM, 2 Egg, Cooked Morsel). About 1/3 of the time, it has resulted in rot. Also noticed this with some other recipes. Why is rot coming out of my crock pot when the ingredients are fresh and dry? It's coming out cooked as rot. I have not left it in there for any length of time.

I was baffled by this too, I think I've worked it out.

Were you cooking while it was raining? I've found that if the Crock Pot is wet you will get Rot even with viable ingredients. It was my issue anyway. I think this is to make Spring monsoons tougher to survive as you only have limited windows to cook.

I'm fairly certain that a wet crock pot making the food rot a few seconds after it finishes cooking is a bug that started in Reign of Giants, was fixed then, and came back for Shipwrecked. I'm having a real problem with it, especially given how often the crockpot will be wet in hurricane season. (And flooding season, if it's in the wrong place and/or you haven't used enough sandbags.) It doesn't seem to depend on the ingredients or the recipe, I've had it happen with Meatballs, Pierogi, a Banana Pop and a Fistful of Jam.
