Feycat
Just wondering if anyone has any insight... over time, I slowly develop symptoms of lag. I can play smooth as anything for an hour or two, then I start to jerk when moving, animate slowly, and it progresses to the point where I have to click the same thing over and over and over to activate it. Getting things in and out of inventory is a nightmare. This happens when hosting OR when playing on someone else's server or computer. My friends don't seem to experience it. I recently got a whole new computer system (mobo, cpu and graphics card) and it's still doing it, though not nearly as severely. Restarting helps a little, but not much. Is there anything I can do to stop this slow downward spiral? I should mention that it does not happen when playing DS Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/59552-slowly-increasing-lag-memory-leak/ Share on other sites

NetflixAndChill
Does it for me too! Insanely bad and eventually runs out of memory and exits Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/59552-slowly-increasing-lag-memory-leak/#findComment-689625 Share on other sites

Developer Ipsquiggle Posted November 30, 2015 Developer Share Posted November 30, 2015 Can you tell if the process memory is increasing (e.g. when you open the Task Manager and view the Processes tab, what kind of value is the memory up to once it starts getting laggy? Similarly, once it starts getting laggy in-game, could you hit backspace to bring up the debug overlay, and post a screenshot of that? (It contains information about timing and lag.) Both as a server and a client may be useful. TemporaryMan
Well I tried, but I'm not sure all of these were snapped in time to catch a lag burst: 100% current packet loss? The boomerang appeared to just hang there for a few seconds.
