Summer and fires

Recommended Posts

Got an idea about summer.

In summer, things can start to ignite. Smoldering, take fire, and all.

But, rather than having this all summer, why not having something like a wheater ? A sort of equivalent of rain/snow, for summer. A sort of "burning weather"

When it's normal weather, there is still overheating, still the withering of plant. It will still be usefull to have an ice-flingomatic (will avoid the withering part). But you don't have to fear to miss a smoldering flower when you are traveling by this big forest.

When it's burning weather, there is a chance that things start to smolder, like in actual summer.

A rain-o-meter could maybe have a new section for this special weather, allowing you to know when it could happen.

This way, you still have to prepare yourself for summer, you still need ice-flingomatic and all the stuff against over-heating, but you have a little more freedom to explore and travel in your world.

And it will give more rythm to summer :D

Hot Spells I believe is what it would be called, it could be represented by rays of light glaring onto the landscape.  Maybe almost like some kid above was holding a magnifying glass over ants in order to burn them.

In fact, that would be a really good pre-warning to something that's about to start smoldering.

A summer exclusive weather would be nice.
