wondering if we need some sort of reputation system in place for players.
a common issue i'v seen across servers is some people intentionally being lazy expecting others to survive FOR them, people ruining others work with fire or baiting enemies who destroy things, the ragers, servers where it's got no password ending up to be a host who insults then bans you on joining and lastly, people who constantly boss people around.

quite frankly i want to avoid these types but it's tricky to remember them all, especially where a steam name change is enough to fool most, i prepose a good and bad standing thing, not sure how to fully impliment it but all it would do is label people as "bad sports", "average sport and "good sport" which would make it easier for people to know who they might wanna play with.

I like it. Perhaps also have a bar showing their rep? But then this makes some admins threaten you unless you give them good rep, and what not...

this can be easily exploited though someone can simply just label you a bad sport, I suggest there should only be the options of "good sport" and "leader" so if someone really does think of you as a good sport or a leader they would of out of their way to label you that because you actually made a difference. but if you don't have a rep it's probably just means you probably haven't been useful enough and maybe this will encourage players to be better players and actually contribute to their survival piers. I feel I didn't explain this right but hopefully you understand :)

What evidence would be needed to label someone a "bad sport"? Most players that post their grievances on the forum either lie or omit their wrongdoing. Players that complain about base burning hide the fact that they burn bases. Players that scream admin abuse forget to include how they provoked the admin, insulted the admin, or broke certain rules that got them banned. Players that claim people that killed them in pvp are using macros and movement prediction are just guessing.

What would be the criteria for rep submissions?

Who would decide which reps are legitimate and which are irrational?

A system doomed to fail and label people inaccurately imo.
