Maybe you can leave some sort of golden chalice or something in the middle of a pig village, all resident pigs fight to the death over it, and when you return the next day a king is installed? And someone correct me if I'm wrong but the Pig King not spawning only occurs in the new test gen right? On the default gen he always spawns from my experience. As to the thread, what if there were a way to move him?
