I have a character mod, but my cousin is the one who made it and uploaded it. He's very busy this month or two, but he made me as a "contributor", thinking that with that status, it gives me the power to edit anything (steam's title and description, also the file.) Which, it doesn't seem to work that way. I don't even know what "contributor" can exactly do.

My question is, how can I edit our mod in the workshop so that I won't have to make a new upload of it?

The original author made me as a "contributor".

Assuming you subscribed to it, go to (at least for me it's like this) Steam > steamapps > common > Don't Starve/Don't Starve Together (depending in for what the mod is, DS or DST).

Inside the file, go to mods and then find yours, after that, rename it to whatever you want, it'll then create a new mod file, congrats, now you have 2 of the same mod in your game.

Now you can edit thw RENAMED one and your changes won't be erased by steam/the game.

I mean, how to edit the mod in the workshop like I will edit/upload the latest version of that mod that people can also use.

I know I can upload my own file in workshop, it could also be the mod's updated version, which I can also edit it and update it in workshop, but it will give a new workshop id number.
