XirmiX
Bug Submission: Category: Gameplay Issue Title: So, hatching tallbird eggs overheat from the endothermic fire? Issue Description: Something that makes barely any sense in in tact. Smallbird eggs during the night (any season) next to an Endothermic fire won't freeze to death and next to it will overheat when it's day time, so if it's Summer, then they won't overheat from the Summer heat, but will overheat from the Endothermic fire's cold temperature... yeah, seems like that wasn't thought about when RoG was put in place. I'd suggest that this is changed so that during the say time, the hatching tallbird eggs in Summer should be put next to an endothermic fire and during the night time, the eggs should be put away from the cold fire, though would still overheat in Summer if put next to a normal fire. Steps to Reproduce: 1) Put A hatching tallbird egg next to an endothermic fire during any season (even Summer) while it's day time and it'll overheat. 2) Put a hatching tallbird egg away from an endothermic fire during any season (even Summer) while it's night and it'll freeze. Auth
This bug has existed since RoG and still hasn't been fixed. Also, tallbirds kill their babies. This makes no sense. Klei pls.
applebottom
Oh looks like there's an open bug report for the two I found today. (hatching eggs in endothermic fire and tallbirds murdering their children) *bumping this* Edit: Etna said teenage bird fighting parent is intended behavior. Not sure if that changed since Apr8. But accdg to him/her, they didn't want to fill the world with tallbirds. So the fighting was intentional. (Sorry, bob)

And teenbirds only attack when hungry, and it wouldnt make sense for them to attack tallbird parents as they are peaceful to each other. Though, they do sometimes eat eachother, soooo... XirmiX
wow srsly? That was intentional? And the reason was supposedly overpopulation? Yet they don't seem to care about beefalo overpopulation, rock lobster overpopulation, volt goat overpopulation, spider overpopulation, hound overpopulation (while this can be dealt with if you kill all the hounds during every single hound attack, in some rare cases, they can overpopulate the world and then you're scrouged), frog overpopulation, rot overpopulation etc. How pathetic! Here's two simple things they could do to every single mob in order to stop them from overpopulating:1) slow down their breeding state2) have a goddamn limit as to how many of that type of mob can exist in the game For something like spiders, say you have a huge world, the number of spider dens allowed in the world would be like 50 or so, so if it reaches the limit, then when a spider queen comes out of a tier 3 spider den, she would not leave a tier 1 spider den behind so that then the world isn't infested with spider dens. The limit to them is the only way these crises can be solved, unless some player decides to dedicate himself/herself to depopulating the world of overpopulating mobs. also tallbirds killing their offspring brings another overpopulation problem even a bigger problem; rot overpopulation. Rot, rot everywhere and I can't stand it. The game has been in development for years now and still the rot problem is in tact! Now it's even worse! Auth
Not only that, but sometimes you only get 1 tallbird in your world. I also believe nestless tallbirds should make nests. And volt goats have never been a problem for me, actually. If the numbers get too big, just murder a bunch, you can take them down no sweat. ROCK LOBSTERS ON THE OTHER HAND there's actually a really simple way. Just tame them all and lure them back into the caves, hell, lure them into the ruins.
