This is really, really bothering me...

 

If you look at the bottom of the left portraits in character selection in DST, the default+DLC characters have mostly the same frames...however, several are slightly different. On the bottom of the frame, the little claw-like extension shifts back and forth between some of them.
That shifting makes a bit of a pattern, which, so far, only stands out to me as binary, 00101011, or "+".

 

Is there anything to this? I've looked around here, there and everywhere and haven't come up with anything particularly relatable, or any indication that someone else saw this...

Is "+" meant to be representative of "Together"?
A random relation to Binary+?
Or is it actually nothing at all?

How do you notice these things...?

 

Obsessively staring at things, trying to figure out how to make a mod character jumbled together from 3 templates and an equal number of other characters behave like a good little mod instead of doing weird things.
