Map Mod Full Screen Window for second monitor.

I know there is a popular Minimap Mod.  I would like to make a variation of this to have the map be in a separate window(Would be great for dual screen support).  Does anything like this already exist? I am thinking that the ability to create a new window is most likely somewhere in the C++ code.  Does anyone know if their is an API for this readily available?  I am also new to lua , but after reviewing some files and the whole file structure of the game, it seems to be fairly readable.  Might be a bit of a project.

As far as I'm aware there is no code inside lua that controls such things, and anything outside of lua has no API. So I'd say not possible without hacking the exe.

I believe @Sarcen is correct here. That said, I believe someone was working on a mod that would run the game in windowed mode wide enough to cover multiple monitors. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find the link to that mod.
