Shoeshine made a fire. "Pfft. Silly organic things, needing body heat. I only need warmth so my mechanisms don't freeze up." Shoeshine complained. He then made 4 walking canes, costing 8 gold, all the tusks, and 4 twigs. Shoeshine then put them all in one hand. "I HAVE ASCENDED CLASSINESS, TO UBER-CLASSINESS!" Shoeshine declared. "Also we don't have materials for warm clothing. Should've listened to Dan's note and killed something. I felt like murdering anyways." Shoeshine muttered.

(Sorry guys, I got a bit carried away with my personal life things.

Though Thorndike is adrogynous, he is most likely male.)

A suddenly surprised Thorndike overheard the two's discussion from a short distance away and got up, some of his leaves already with sheets of light frost. "Food, you say?" Thorndike chimed in with subtle cheer in his whistle-like voice, before realizing Charles had already left. Nonetheless, he glanced over at Shoeshine instead with a smile across his face. "Well speaking of food, I still have a lot of my berries left, I can offer you some for you and your friend, if you'd like." Thorndike then proceeded happily pluck the frosted crimson berries from out of his cold bush-head and held them out in front of Shoeshine. "Take them," he insisted, a grin on his face.

From such a short distance, it was easy to see the details on Thorndike, both big and small. His bush head was a bit smaller than other berry bushes, but it was still large enough to fool any of those unobservant. His head consisted of many branches with leaves, much like the other berry bushes. Said leaves were dark-greenish in color, but they had turned slightly paler with the frost. The base of the bush-boy's "stem" in his body formed a sort of spine. His body was also covered in leaves similar to those on his bush-head, which gave his body the appearance of that of a hedge. His arms were made from two branches, and each branch appeared to have three "fingers" and one thumb on the ends. His legs were made of two thick roots sturdy enough to allow him movement.

(calm your writing ben)

"Uh, well... thank you. Name's Charles. And that's my robot friend Shoeshine 'The Robot Extraordinaire!' as he calls him self."

He picks up the berries and puts them in Krampus's sack.

"Now - a little back story will be useful for you, if you are to join us on our quest. SHOESHINE! Put in the VCR tape!"

As Oswald's consciousness begins to fade, a light appears in front of him which dispels the shadow hands that crushed his windpipe...

Oswald  drops to the ground... as his eyes begin to close, he hears a voice...

~You can't die just yet... you're almost there... just a little closer... don't give up...

A yellow amulet shimmers in his hand... an orange staff appears on his right hand... and a Tam o' Shanter, like the one his grandfather used to wear appear on his head...

"Back already? I have more food if you ne-" then Thorndike suddenly froze up for a second as if he was a deer in front of headlights. "Oh, oh, I'm so sorry!" the said, stuttering a bit. "I forgot to introduce myself! I'm Thorndike, friend of almost anything. Been in these parts for several hundred days. How long have you guys survived here? Have you counted? I got a few things stored if you need something. May I join you guys on your adventures?" Thorndike started jumping around excitedly.

Shoeshine ejected the VCR from his face. "I don't like the taste of tapes. I would say joining us would be a pleasant idea! Welcome aboard, and I'm not going to ask Charles if it is fine, since frankly, I would like another team member!" Shoeshine cheered.

"Yes!" Thorndike shouted happily before having a seat on the cold ground. He quietly pulled out a backpack of considerable size and began digging through it, pulling a cold Thermal Stone out of it before handing the slightly-worn backpack to Charles. "There's a lot of useful things in there you or your friend might need. It's crazy how all these things can fit in here." Inside of the old backpack was a shovel, four pine cones, some more berries, (though they were a little stale,) three logs, a couple pieces of flint, and some sticks. Thorndike, meanwhile, was already thinking of ways they could make a base and improve on it.

"Right, sorry. I'm always like this. But, y'know, people don't complain about my overly friendly personality. I don't know. For some reason I always feel like I have to make sure I have a positive reputation. You can still have all the stuff; it's not like I need it, anyway."

At this, They materialize 10 Gobblers from the shadows and they hurriedly chase after Thorndike.

"Oh, come on!" Dan exclaimed at the shadows.

"I was going to do that!" he whispered.

"I'm fine! I'm fine! Just let me handle it, I think I'm fine!" Thorndike pulled out some stale berries and threw them backwards, distracting some of the Gobblers for a moment. In this moment he ran as far away from the Gobblers as possible and tried to catch his breath when he couldn't run anymore. He looked back as one of the Gobblers started charging toward him. "Okay, nevermind, I'm not fine!"
