help with mods for standalone version

Ok so I bought the standalone of DS at gog.com. I downloaded some mods from the forums here did everything like it said to install them launch the game some of the mods worked and the others said crashed on startup. I have searched for an answer but no luck I can still play with out the mods on and the mods that do work I can play also. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I think GOG is outdated. Is there a manual updater?

I will take a look at it tonight and see I changed the api version in the mods some work now but I will try to update and see if that hepls

If you haven't figured it out yet, you have updater folder in your DS installation directory, that's where you'll find standalone updater. You will need to use the serials (you can see them on your GOG account / dont starve game card).

 

Also, if the updater throws you some red file hash error message at some point, use File/Check consistency and let it finish repatching the missed files.
