Some suggestions about the map and Inventory

Recommended Posts

I think it's been suggested before, but I think it would be great if players could share the map exploration.

For example most of the time I take care of the base we set up while my partner goes to do stuff and therefore my map is usually pretty unexplored, and it makes it hard to understand when he tries to point out something

Talking about pointing out, I think there should be a way to do that in the map, instead of having to give imprecise instructions like "find the road, then walk south, then to your left" etc

Something harder to implement, because it affects gameplay but I think it should be there is showing in the map where the other players are. I understand if it's pvp it wouldn't really work, but while playing coop it would be really useful

Another thing I would like is to be able to open stuff like the Ice Box or the Chest at the same time that other player does it

And I think that's it

Unfortunately I don't think that's going to happen. There's a reason why you can't do it in pretty much any online game with containers-- it's asking for an endless list of exploits and synchronization bugs. On the other hand, it might be doable to let you put things into chests while someone else is using it, and that would be really nice (mainly I just want to ram stuff into the fridge while someone's cooking so I can get on with my life).

Unfortunately allowing a player to store items in a container (even without giving them full access) is asking for a similar number of bugs etc. Maybe you can just dump the stuff you want to store on the ground and ask them to put it in for you? It's not ideal, I know, but container synch is a whole can of worms...

Well, that's unfortunate. I didn't think it would bring bugs or be that complicated. Dropping them near is ok though =) Thanks for replying
