I haven't been able to find any new information about this in the recent updates from the team in the forums. Though the lack of cross platform multiplayer would be limiting. PS4 to PC is still possible though. Both have differences that would make them hard to work together. As I said, a PS4 version is possible (so is a PS Vita version) but I don't think you should be putting your foot on it and think it'll come out because they did say it'd come out, but it'll be tested/worked on but not fully confirmed as something.
