les02jen17
I'm thinking of purchasing the game either through GOG or Steam. Pros and Cons, anyone? I need your opinion. I think GOG is the best place, since it's DRM-free, and right now the game has a discount ($6.99 + ROG $2.99), but I'm not sure how updates are handled there. And how about steam? How about directly from the website (expensive though, $23)? Can anyone help me decide? J192
Personally, I think Steam. Steam lets you install mods and updates easier Plus, the discounts are high on holiday sales. les02jen17
Any insights on people who have bought the game through GOG? What made you choose GOG over steam? How about those who bought the game on the website itself? Anyone else? Thanks! Lamkin
$23 includes the soundtrack; $19 without it. I bought the game through the website, which is the Humble Store, as I wanted to have both a DRM-free version and a Steam key. Steam *does* update first, though, with Humble and GOG updates usually coming a day or two later. jbeetle
Also keep in mind that gog does not give you a steam key like the other places Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/44316-where-is-the-best-place-to-buy-the-game-gog-or-steam-or-others/#findComment-570792 Share on other sites

Mobbstar
Steam cause of the modding community..... You can download almost all mods from this page too, you know? The only ones you can't, as far as I know, are the puppy princess, that weird japanese rpg mod, and some disks for the jukebox mod.
