The tentacle flinched in the alligator's grip. The spicky end came down on it's attackers back.

Alligator.........

ALLIGATOR?!

{*Table-flip* I'm done! Good roleplay everyone! *Walks out the door*}

Cypress felt the spikes dig into her scales, she released her grip and twisted her whole body to clamp onto the bit that was digging into her. She bit down on the part just before the spikes and twisted her head, the end of the tentacle now un-attached to the main body. She dropped the foul meat, still twitching like a lizard's tail once it drops. The actual spikes of the tentacle were still lodged in her hide however.

---------------

Wekesa followed the pair through the swamp, feeling faint vibrations in the damp, squishy earth.

"Cypress, don't worry, I'll bring you the bandages and healing stuff...don't worry, it will be fine! I-I-..."

Wy runs away as fast as he cam the the camp, and when he gets there he takes all the bandages and healing stones he had made, spilling the content of one of them in the hurry. He empties the backpack from the reeds and fills it with the healing tools.

The tentacle recoils and flails about, a screech coming from the ground beneath it, before it falls to the ground dead.

________

Wilson stops suddenly.

"...Did you hear that?"

"If you're talking about that screech I just heard... then yes."

"Wekesa can feel things moving beneath the ground... Something just stopped moving... Wekesa guesses that a mud-root has been killed."

-------------

Cypress let out a snarl at the now fallen tentacle. The spines lodged in her back we're starting to ache, she was probably bleeding.

"Something killed a tentacle? It could be merms..."

Wilson studied his map.

"But there are no merms in the area the screech came from."

"Merms?"

"Merms are very large humanoid fish creatures that live in the swamp. They will attack tentacles if they find them on their territory."

"Lovely..."

"Yes, quite. Anyway, wgat ever killed that tentacle wasn't a merm and was strong enough to kill it. We should avoid it."

Cypress let out a loud snarl and thrashed out if the ghost's grip. 'No! Don't touch!' However her words heard as hisses and snarls unless you could talk to animals.

{Dwer get Tres to take Wakana. I imagine he would have been flung off Cypress's back by this point.}

Panting, Wy reaches Cypress and drops the backpack next to her.

"Allright...allright...what...what do I do?"

He reaches with his hand for one of the spikes, but then stops as for the pain he saw in her when the ghost tried doing the same.

Cypress recoiled and let out another loud hiss. She knew she need these spikes out... Maybe a large reptile wasn't the safest thing to be in this situation. She changed back to her normal form, the spikes now lodged in the base of her shoulder. She grimaced. "Holy hell this isn't pleasant! Get them out!"

Cypress let out a muffled cry through clenched teeth, not only was there another spine but then there was the sting of the healing items... "H-hurry up!"

--------------

Wekesa followed the pair with interest, perhaps there were more flesh pods to devour offer her food.

Cypress let out a scream but then quickly placed her hands over her mouth, she closed her eyes, tears running into her cheek. This was probably the most pain she felt since she fell off that roof... Granted it wasn't a tall building, more like a shed but boy did it hurt when she hit the ground.

Wy bites his tongue. This was a terrible, terrible situation. But at least the worst part was gone...

"Okay...now..."

He takes the healing salve and prepares to apply it on the wounds.

"This is going to sting a bit...but it won't be as painful as before, thats for sure."

That said, he gently applies some of the medical cream on the wounds, which slowly stopped bleeding.

Wilson stopped.

"That was a scream. What ever got to her we're probably to late to stop."

However, his words didn't reach Athena's ears, as she had ran ahead when she heard the scream.

"ATHENA! WAIT! *sigh*"

Reluctantly, Wilson sped up his pace to try and catch up with her.

Athena reached the reed patch, but Cypress and Wy were on the other side and it was too think to see through. She started wading through the forest of reeds as fast as she could, making a great deal of noise in the process.
