QuickShot010
I first of all thank you for reading this Topic. I currently released a character mod but i want to optimise it as much as i can.The character grows hair over time, but i'd like to create a bit of advantage when the character has long hair.I was thinking that the character remains warm for a bit longer in the winter when his hair is fully grown. The problem is i have no idea how to accomplish this.Anyone has any ideas? Thanks! Oh, before i forget...Here is the link of my mod so you can check it out:http://forums.kleientertainment.com/files/file/894-drok-the-caveman/
lynn
If you already got the hair growing, you just need to set the value of inherentinsulation in the temperature component according to hair lenght.
1daBread
It is the same as Wilson's beard i believe
QuickShot010
Thanks for the replies, i have one question though. What could be a balanced inherentinsulation value?I wrote the code so that it multiplies the current inherentinsulation value with each "beard bit" (prise when shaved) by 9. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Any suggestions? Thanks! I would keep it at or below Wilson's value, as it stands the character has a lot of advantages alreadyCurrent Advantages:- He has a big stomach.- He grows hair that can be shaved.- He deals quite a lot of damage.- His sanity drains very slowly- Hair growth keeps him warm Current Disadvantages- He has a small brain (max. sanity is low) If it were me I'd try to find another disadvantage to saddle him with.Maybe increased sanity drain from being around monsters?'Scared of Monsters' - He knows that every monster can kill him easily. His higher damage would mean he could kill the monsters faster, so it would help counterbalance the issue, and his lower sanity loss over time would hopefully compensate as well. Okay, so this is my idea: Disadvantages:- Needs more food than usual- Low max sanity- Scared of monsters Advantages:- Strong attack- Big stomach <-- no more advantage because he needs more food- Sanity drains slowly- Grows hair that keeps him warm and can be shaved Thanks for the feedback and ideas!Tell me what you think about this. MidrealmDM
Thanks for the feedback and ideas!Tell me what you think about this. Seems good, although you will probably have to mess around with your variables for balance.eg. How low is 'low sanity.' how strong is 'strong attack' etc.But I'm sure you can find a balance that works. ^_^
