YetiFoot
Have you ever wondered what's the point of walking into a creepy DS graveyard at night and all there is is the remains of dead people, headstones, a chilling mist, and headstones? I've come up with a solution to that non-frightening, but creepy still experience. TombStone, the guardian of the deceased. Grab your guts, put a heat stone on your back if its cold, and prepare for a Giant that guards the dead.Tomb stone looks like a creepy possesed version of a golem. Only his limbs don't attach, they float where they would be attached, but he's not hostile when you approach him, he's a pile of rocks at first sight, but for each grave yard in the world there would be a fence, with pointed edges surronding all the grave's, And in the center- a large pile of stones, im going to show what Tombstone would look like, both alive, andwhen undisturbed. The photo below shows the living Tombstone (bottom) and the one in its undisturbed state (top) When the player see's the pile of rock's next to it is a large rock with a Headstone carved on the top, and below it is a warning carved into the stone, when the player walks up to it and clicks on it, it will say."TO ANY WHO READ THIS!""Do not dare disturb these graves""For if you ungrave one's remains""You will be punished."The warning is SERIOUS! If any player digs up a grave, the stone pile next to it will begin to swirl, and the gates to the graveyard will shut, and the pile of rocks will begin to take shape of a monster, it's iris's will glow a souless white, and the rest of its eye will be pitch black, it will have a set of sharp, jagged teeth, and it will have only one destiny, to destroy anyone, who disturbs the deceased. Battal
I like the design, but considering that the rewards for robbing graves aren't really mind boggling, and that we already have ghosts to attack us, I really don't think a whole new boss is necessary. It's basically just a cooler-looking version of something we have already. YetiFoot
OK ok! It's not exactly a boss, but it does turn into something much worse when the player decides to smash the headstone carved rock next to the monster. The monster becomes more powerful, and besides. The graves aren't all that scary, to me it be more worth it if there were 2 different graves, a normal biome with graves, and a graveyard biome!. It would have a sanity draining debuff in the afternoon, and there would be special grave's that make it different. Each headstone in a graveyard would be shaped like a cross, and if the player digs up, or a player digs up one of those grave's, it would be a 50% chance to get a weapon/trap at 100%, 9% to get a unique hat or armor (like a spider hat, or a shelmet, marble armor or dark armor, etc) and a 49% chance to get a "other" item. If the player smash's a Crossstone (the headstones in a graveyard) they could get marble from it. BUT i would forewarn against it , because instead of the normal consequences, the player would lose -50 sanity instead of -10, the player would have the battle music, only it'd sound like the music when your insane, and the flowers and things around the tombstones would become nightmare fuel. Tombstone would become much more furious if you smashed a Cross Stone, so furious he would look as if he were from a horror movie, his white iris eyes would just be pitch black, no pupil, no iris, just darkness, his teeth would grow and be jagged and broken, and some would be knife-like. his claws on his hands would grow and become almost like knifes, more slices of missing rock on his body would reveal, and his left foot ( or which ever foot that dosen't have rock toes) would grow crystal-like claws. He would actually grow stronger from this, as in his P. off'd state he would be able to make rocks float in the air, and if the player was a distance away hurl it at the player. Tombstone's defeat would yield night mare fuel and marble.
