Is there some reason why we can't play as dlc charcters in vanilla

I just think it would be cool if we could play as the dlc characters in the easier vanilla rather then the hard as nails dlc but if im alone on thinking this Ill shut my mouth

If you really want it you can create a custom world and turn off all the DLC features (mobs, weather, seasons...)

Well the reason you can't is because of the way the DLC loads.

Basically when you add the DLC it adds a whole new folder in the game, so when you disable it in the menu, it doesn't read the folder.

You can choose your character and THEN turn of RoG.
