Why not just keep it simple? If this were added, just make the players choose what to do. However if you want the whole "smart or not" thing make it that the more intelligent people would get helpful hints depending on how smart they are. Then whoever wins gets a 30 or so sanity gain. I mean come on, we don't want it to be over powered.
