A grim smile splits Vilsig's face, his thoughts consumed by dark thoughts.  The things he could turn himself into with this sea...sure, Rustlung could be a useful ally, but once Vilsig knew how he could use the sea for himself, why remain in his service?  Not even he would be able to stop him.

"You are quite persuasive, Rustlung.  Under what conditions would I...ah, work, for you?

"You would have full access to the seas below, and my blessing. The only thing you would have to do, in return, is assist me in getting rid of Mr. Higgsbury and his band of friends, before they figure out how to do any sort of real damage.....oh, and there is one more thing. I have one more ally here....a rather unsavoury character..."

A deep, guttural roar echoed. Massive tentacle pillars shot up out of the ocean, and through holes in the cave ceiling. The tentacle beast lurked underneath the waters. Rustlung chuckled.

(Indeed. And I am totally okay with this. Because EVIL.

)

"Hmmm.......very well. I think that can all be arranged, Vilsig. I am glad you could come to see things as I do."

Rustlung shook Vilsig's hand, then snapped a finger, the cage disintegrating away.

Rustlung extended a hand outwards toward the nightmare fuel ocean once more.

"Exunime Claritia Crystallum."

Another globe of fuel rose up from the seas below. Rustlung closed his hand, repeating the chant once more, and it turned into another one of the sanity orbs.

"Clear enough, Vilsig?"

It fell into the fluid. A loud shattering noise could be heard a few moments later as the tentacle monster devoured the orb.

"They need to go through the caves and the Thule Ruins to get here. It's full of places to ambush them. Right up your alley, i'd imagine, hmm?"

Wilson, meanwhile, finished stringing together a crossbow, complete with eight bolts, before going through his chests, and getting out the materials to make some armor for the others.

"Just a minute.....I need to make sure I get the seams connected just right...."

After a short period of time, Wilson finished putting together 3 log suits, one for himself, one for Lewis, and one for Alma. He handed Lewis and Alma their log suits and a spear for each of them.

"Naturally."

Rustlung snapped his fingers, and they were spirited away in a cloud of dark energy again.

"Sure.."

Wilson took out another spear, and broke the wooden part down about 3/4 of the way, before starting to use a rough piece of rock like sandpaper to smooth off the end. Erised returned again.

"You found the right sinkhole?"

"Yes, Wilson. Ready to go whenever you are."

"Good. We'll be leaving in just a moment, then."
