Reality is some mods are old and have been abandoned. Others haven't been updated yet. Others have bugs. This is a problem that is individual for each mod, so if there is a mod that you REALLY want to use (which crashes) you should report it to the author of the mod.

Also, to make things more complex - some mods don't work with other mods. Instead of activating 30 at a time, I would start with one at a time. The one you want most first, obviously.

TBH, in most cases this is just really lazy coding. In our mod we have made sure that (fore the most part) its compatible with most mods. But yes, this is the modders responsibility to update the mods for all updates. If they have not updated its most likely they are busy with other projects. The best way to check is to see the authors last login/active date on the forums.

It is disrespectful to call modders lazy when they contribute their free time for no reward whatsoever - many, including me, that have never used LUA before. That said, I think that it should be in the interest of each modder to attempt to make their mods compatible with other mods. I, personally, don't have time to code or test for that so I don't bother with it unless I can do it from the ground up (like my RPG items mod).

I never called anyone lazy, I just said "lazy coding" which refers to easy workarounds when other better workarounds are available but harder to see. Which is the the most common problem with compatibility.

You know that many people don't knows LUA and game code that much to find other ways of doing the things they want to do?

May also don't know about existence of other mod that can cause problems with their mod.

i found a pretty common problem with mods on this forum, there alot who own non-steam version of game and guess what?

Most of this gamers have outdated version. So probably OP's game version is 4, while most of new mods required 5

And its not just a number, some things was changed since February update and v5 mod able crash to game. So this api version number is exists to prevent it.

Anyway in case of any trouble OP need to post game log, nobody able to help without them, Vanga died in 1996
