But looking at some pictures, some of the giants really don't look too...giant. From what I can see, the Dragonfly is a little bigger than a Beefalo, maybe the same size. My suggestion is simple: slightly increase the size of the Giants. So they instill real panic, like "How the hell am I gonna kill that??!?!" It needs to be TWICE as big, else it just looks like it has 1000 health.
