>making thulecite walls

Now comes the part where we throw our heads back and laugh.

Ready?

(READY!)

AHAHAHAHAHAHA!

And what am I supposed to do!?

Thulecite crown - Useless to me sine I'm playing WX-78, they guy that can heal himself with lightning and has 400 hp, I am surprised I even wear armour to battle

Thulecite armour - Same.

Pick/axe - If not the fact that I actually need to waste some tools in order to make it, I would use it.

Thulecite medalion - as useless as rainometer, it never warns you until it's too late.

Thulecite club - I'd rather use ham bats and dark swords.

Lazy forager - pretty useless.

Magilumine.. maglumine... maguli... THE LIGHT MEDALION - I don't really need it, some speed would be useful but I can never find those yellow things, and I get the same effect if I use telelocator staff.

Construction - Made life time supply of it already.

I will make my base entirely out of thulecity, AND YOU WILL NOT LAUGH WHEN YOU SEE HOW MAGESTIC IT IS!

Thulecite Suit repairs sanity too, which you'll need if you're planning on healing yourself with lightning.

I have like nine bee boxes, ten drying racks, pig farm and tam o shanter, so there is no need for more sanity.

Suit doesn't recover that much too...

I have to admit, after building stone walls around my base I looked at and thought of all the better uses I could have put that stone toward.

Is there an actual strategy which utilizes walls? Because in my limited experience they are more limiting to mobility then anything, not to mention they are nuts to place and look like crap.

The only reason I've built walls has been to make a hound panic room (it would be quite a glorious one in theulecite!).  I like my home to be open to nature, and like others, I don't like using limited resources for something I don't really need.  If I ever got to the point where I had theulecite, I'd save it for other, more efficient uses.

The nice thing about sandbox games is the ability to squander your limited resources however you see fit. I think long-term walls is better than short-term gear.

Walls require so much repair if they are actually being used though, and to be honest in like 50 days you will go through maybe one suit and 2 or 3 helms, but you are near invincible while wearing them. Also, I mainly use walls to corral hounds into traps, etc., so making the better kind seems like a waste, I tend to make large bases as well.
