Overly Ambitious Personal List of Mods to Do

So I'm a newbie to modding, but I feel like I really want to work on some for Don't Starve. Here will host a list of projects I plan to work on, what I'm starting on, and what I've finished.

 

If there is a better place to put this list please tell me, but this is where I thought it fit best. 

 

Some of these are way beyond my skill currently and I will start with the simplest ones.

Honestly if there's someone who wants to do the art, but not any of the modding for any of these characters I would happily take them up on it. The art is what I least want to do. I most want to do the coding/quotes.

Jon Snow should get bonus insulation during winter because he lives in the North, fights whitewalkers, and err has Snow in his name? Though his beard is pretty pathetic so I'm not sure how you would put that in, maybe he starts with a permanent fur coat he can use. Its not OP because everyone uses armor + backpack anyways

Nah man, I'd say double duration of the breezy vest. There ARE people(one person?) who use/uses the game without any of the mods that make the game easier.

 

If you are like that, then yeah, make it easier instead of harder. It IS YOUR MOD after all.

I like the idea of the double duration on the breezy vest. Also I believe that he would be able to befriend one hound (since all the Starks have a wolf)

 

 

Also... Not being able to edit posts is lame.... It doesn't allow for updates and such. (Unless I'm missing a button somewhere...)

Calvin

 

Calvin always has his toy tiger Hobbes with him. When Calvin's sanity drops below half Hobbes comes to life and helps by picking up items on the ground (sometimes helpful, sometimes annoying like with traps) and brings them back to Calvin. When he drops below 1/4 sanity he sees dinosaurs and aliens stalking him. At 0 sanity custom alien abductions script.. (I don't have any idea how feasible some of this is. I've seen codes where the pets pick up items though (like the monkey one), so I feel like that durable.) Hobbes would be a melee character with extremely high hit points and health regen, but only about 1 damage or so. More useful for distracting enemies then actually fighting them, though he could probably kill some given enough time. When Calvin's sanity rises above half Hobbes drops as an item. Equipping the toy raises sanity. Calvin would have average health and sanity. Calvin is afraid of the dark and terrified of some monsters (tentacles are really scary, spiders not so much.). 

 

 

 

I think I'll start with Calvin (unless he turns out to be way to hard). I think the changes for him are really intuitive, the dialogue will be fantastically awesome to write, and the style of the cartoon does not need as much modification as some of the others. Also I think he will be fairly well balanced. 

 

 

Case Closed Idea: Add a custom clue hunt (based on Koalefant hunt), at the end of a clue hunt a set pieces with medium - rare items spawns. Only Case Closed characters cause clues to spawn on maps or can follow them. Shinichi would be a transformation of Conan that could be achieved by crafting a complicated potion, but he would get awesome stat buffs. Ran would have a good damage boost without any weapons. Ai would have craftable potions to buff her as well as inherent knowledge of sciences.
