tiagodg
Hello everyone! Simple question, since there's no rain, do they ever grow back? I got some green mushrooms close to my camp in the caves, but I'm gonna save them for an emergency just in case you can only harvest them once Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/30921-do-mushrooms-grow-back-in-caves/ Share on other sites
Daemonic
No rain= No mushshroom respawns, you are going to have to either find mushroom trees or find an alternative. Deacon_Blue
Elaborating on that, it's most efficient to dig them up with a shovel so you get two per spawn instead of one. Daemonic
Only do that in caves though, you are going to want to keep the surface mushrooms intact. tiagodg
Thanks Deacon_Blue for the tip, I knew it already, too bad I'm the kind of guy that would save them for the worst case scenario and never actually dig lol Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/30921-do-mushrooms-grow-back-in-caves/#findComment-403818 Share on other sites

Deacon_Blue
So how did all those mushrooms grow there in the first place... Caves tend to be damp, we can assume that over the last century or two that enough water has pooled in various areas to slowly but surely provide life to a small, innocent mushroom. This century-old mushroom is the proof that life can survive, if just barely, in the most extreme conditions. This token of life is then eaten unceremoniously by our characters because symbolism doesn't mean a whole lot in a game. Deacon_Blue
So if it's able to survive, why not grow back? It will take another century because I said so with no botany education to back up the idea that something could grow in the aforementioned way.
