ARamblingSpider Posted January 13, 2014 Share Posted January 13, 2014 Yes there are caves, (Only if you set the sinkhole option to yes which is default) you have to look for plugged sinkholes, use a pickaxe to unblock them and you then can access that sinkholes cave system. They are so large that they are generated as whole new maps upon entering. Caves have their own artwork, terrain, and maps. Various creatures, plants, and other objects reside within. the truthseeker Posted January 15, 2014 Share Posted January 15, 2014 If you have an old world before caves were introduced, and you never permanently died/left for a new world, caves will remain obsidian [lugs and you can't enter thewm no matter what your update. Also this is true if using a pirated version sometimes.
