Blythe
...something happened that hadn't happened to me before. I was playing as Wilson, and the screen got a bit wonky. A small phantom fire blipped and appeared on my screen once or twice, there were one or two flashes of black, and then Wilson apparently passed out. He woke up and complained about his head. I'm fairly new to the game, so I'm trying very hard to avoid using wikis (I want to be able to try to figure things out on my own when I can), but this stumped me. What happened; can anyone tell me why Wilson passed out and woke up complaining of his head? Blythe
Yes, I did, as I was about to starve and had nothing else. Did the mandrake do that? PopcornTattoo
the mandrake causes whoever you're playing as to pass out if eaten or cooked but I'm not sure about the phantom fire maybe the fire was just a graphics glitch??? Blythe
The fire thing might be a graphics glitch; it did happen before I ate the mandrake. GuGonce
Your sanity (The brain meter) was low? And these fire-things was at the border of the screen, right? Blythe
My sanity was low, yes, and the fire-things were at the screen edge. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/30649-when-playing-ds/#findComment-395905 Share on other sites
GuGonce
My sanity was low, yes, and the fire-things were at the screen edge. Then it's not a glitch. It's just a visual effect of the insanity. You should find a way to raise your sanity again or things will happen. Blythe
Ah, gotcha. I'll have to work on that then; the few times I've played, I've never had my Sanity really drop too low or anything, so perhaps that's why the visual effect change took me by surprise. Also, thanks for those that dropped in with the helpful info; it's much appreciated. Wilson
definately do not read the wiki. It will spoil the the experience which is best had through constant trial and error. This is why this game is great. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/30649-when-playing-ds/#findComment-396628 Share on other sites
