Minotaur help

Recommended Posts

How do you kill the Minotaur? On my first time going into the caves I died to it. First it destroyed my marble suit in about 3 hits, then proceeded to one-shot me. I have a meat effigy and can replace everything I brought except, my Krampus Sack! I spent hours trying to get that thing.

So, I wanted to go back and get my stuff... What do i need to kill it (no thulecite)

kill minotaur its pretty easy just use ice staff he will get frozen with 2 hits and then make explode gundpowerx12 he will survive use the ice staff again to put down the fire on him and just attack him he will die with some few hits

i recomend 1 marble suit, 2 football helmets and ham bat

PD: you can frozen him to kill the mob in the area kill the mob first

Boss kite'able = Kite

Boss unkite'able = Blow Darts

Tanking is never a good option, better make those 25 darts already, you need to kill around 50 snowbirds, but you can also farm Krampus Sack when you are at that. Since every houndpack gives at least one ice gem in winter, and you can actually find them, and farm for them, you can make ice staff's, combine with feather hat and start snowbird rampage.

@edit

You can always tank (not the best option like stated up there) with marble suit and shellmet, you can survive around 9 hits with 0 damage before he starts to hurt you.

Hmm, just because I never have the excuse to do so (not enough rocks, too open an area, etc) I think I'll try that gunpowder option next time as well as combine it with the other tips (getting much better in the caves but need to improve now in my ruins of course.

BTW what's recommended as the best form of light there for renewal purposes?)

Just remember to leave room to finish him off with darts.  I did this against the Deerclops.  Freeze, a stack of 8 gunpowder, then two blow darts. Some say 9 is good, but if you have any allies getting hits in early on, the gunpowder can be too much and you burn up the loot.

I have yet to get to the labyrinth to try the same thing on the guardian, but it made the Deerclops fight one of the easiest I've ever had.

Also, if you have allies (particularly slow lobsters), the ice wand is a great way to aggro them to the target. One hit with it will "start the battle" so they will attack and you never have to get that close.

Derp! I use all the other advanced "toys" and forget my starter magic one! I'll try that with gunpowder first, rock lobsters second.
