The vines close in on Zorua, suffocating her and climbing into her mouth and down her throat.

"There's no time for that! Let's just--"

He is interrupted as he dodges one of the beams.

(@RainyDoodles are you still in this, or are you dropping out?)

(Hahahahaha who are you and what did you do with Battal?)

no you wouldn't no you wouldn't please. Just escape. Go. Please.

However, Charmander's foot trips on something. The vines simply refused to burn. And now they climbed up her leg, enveloping her body once more. Barry yelps and runs to Charzard.

"How do I get you out of this stuff?"

He tries chewing through it, but is interrupted by 5 dryads firing beams at the viney scene.

The trees shudder, while the vines are at work thick, heavy branches reach down to overwhelm the charizard. For some reason, they're not too keen on burning either, layers of soot forming on them - obviosuly, a lot of power is being channeled into the trees, leeching it off of something. Or someone.

"Cease your pathetic struggling! If you DARE burn any more of the Grove I shall kill you right here and right now, beast!" roars Telumi, stepping out of the Grove, bright channels of blue flowing across her arms like rivers and seeping into the trees she's commanding. She looks furious. As she paces towards the Charizard she leaves the others to struggle against the vines for a while longer, her expression thunderous.

"Well done, you pathetic rat. Whatever aid you hoped to receive from the Dryads was just crushed by your idiotic impulse to destroy the only thing that keeps us safe. If you expect ANY help from the Dryads in your quest, you're wrong. Now, I suggest you leave the Grove. Clearly, you've outstayed your welcome." she snarled, the foliage parting in a straight path out hf the Grove. She shook her head, seemingly disappointed for a moment - despite walking away, the trees relax enough for Charizard and the others to leave if they wish. Telumi still seems to be controlling them, though.

Back at the house, Telumi strides over to J. "Your friends almost killed the Grove." she snapped, irritably.

J snorts and shakes his head.

And they have learned their lesson. They managed to destroy a shadow bond. If they truly wanted to destroy The Grove, they would have at least made a dent.

The dryads watch Telumi, and follow suit. Their vines retract into the earth, leaving nothing but a small pile of topsoil as proof that it had happened. Barry looks around, and sighs.

"We'd better head back..."

(i should get back into this, im just sitting here and watch the whole scene)

*Charizard turns back into Zorua*

"Sorry guys... I just thought if we entered the building you were gonna need light. I didn't know they had a thing against fire... If they just said something, I would've understood. Not: shoot them with vines and other burnable crap, and lets not make it burnable! *sigh* I'm... I'm really sorry guys... I understand if you don't want me anymore in your group...."

Despite Zorua's apology, Oxryklne snaps.  <You idiotic fox!  We're in a magical grove chock-full of nature spirits, and you decide to turn into a dragon and start BURNING things?  Haven't you listened to a thing of what J's told us, or has it all just flown over that thick skull of yours?  THERE IS A GOD DAMN SHADOW VIRUS SPREADING OUT THERE AND WE HAVE TO WALK INTO IT!>

(That's weird. I've never seen you be so angry when someone burned something. This is unlike you, Battal.)

Exactly. What sort of fool enters The Grove, a land of grasses and forestry, and decides to use fire? I could have died!

Barry is startled by Oxyklne's sudden anger, but he says nothing.

(i seriously have no idea whats going on, so i decided Crow is doing his own thing for the moment)

Crow sat on an old dead tree, swarmed by a little group of crows.

<whats going on?why does my head hurts so much?>

Crow falls down on the ground, knocked out.

(Well, good luck to both of you on fitting in...)

Barry follows behind, taking one last look at the scenery before the group enters the house. Barry lies down on a bed, exhausted.

"Once J finishes whatever he's doing, I guess we have to leave."
