julz1981
Hello, i've had this idea for a week now and wanted to know if anybody was willing to/be able to do! 1st mod is, Day cycle length:What i mean by that is, sometimes i wish days were longer, but not just long days and short nights,i mean longer day overall, like for now its 8min, i'd like to have days that are 16 or maybe 32minutes 2nd mod is, Winter treesI would like, if possible to have trees that stays level 1 when winter comes, to have a more dread winter feeling, and also it would make you hunt for wood before winter, because trees would only give 2 wood and no pinecone in winter. 3rd and last one, is in fact a mod that i used on steam but the user somehow deleted it, and it seems once deleted nobody can use it anymore, anyway the mod was "Beenice"It's a simple mod that makes it so that, when wearing a beehat, you can harvest honey from your hives without being attacked, it's simple yet logic! Hopefully any of you great modders can and will want to do any of those XDThanks in advanceJulz! Heavenfall
To change the duration of a day, go into tuning.lua and change thislocal seg_time = 30to whatever you want it to be. A day is 16 segments, ie 8 minutes. Heavenfall
@julz1981 Food spoils at a rate calculated as "x days until spoiled". You made the days longer, the food spoils slower. I'm sure there will be many more quirks to find out about. It went suddenly from green to orange because for example a cheese might have had another 600 seconds to live out of 1800 total. When you altered the seconds of a day, it became 600 out of 18000 (or whatever way you changed the time of a day). The cheese in that example went from being 33% healthy to 3.3% healthy. Silentdarkness1
You'll probably have to put in a request as far as the whole winter trees mod goes. Don't think that one exists. fritoz
great info about making the days longer, ive often wanted that myself, pity the food rottage slows down though.. maybe a modder can adjust this? and i also think the "winter trees" idea is great, when i first started playing this game,, i thought the trees would stop growing in winter like the berries and crops, i agree your suggestion would make the winter a bit more real to the player, making the player hoard some wood (as they should anyway, right?)
