The Revolution (Credit to Ferris)

[Battal]

Spriggum lumbers along, each step carrying him twice the distance Austin can cover running.  He gestures towards the trees, and they slowly wrap their limbs around Austin's limbs in an attempt to trip him.

[Blewcheese]

Austin keeps running. When his limbs approach branches, small hands of shadow jut out of his new shadowy arms and legs, and either moving them aside or slicing them in half. He leaps back to the ground, but now runs on all fours. His arms have extended to make this easier, and he charges as if he is an animal. He accelerates, not enough to keep pace with Spriggum, but easily halving his ground loss.

*Cakey sends a blast of ice towards Austin in an attempt to freeze his legs*

If he didn't step in, they would eventually get killed. So, almost suicidally, he took off towards the now mutant man. "Hey. Hey! Cease your attacking!" He only needed to distract him for three more hours. Just three more hours and the man would be back to normal.

[Blewcheese]

One of Austin's legs is caught in the ice, and his shadowy limbs begin trying to work him free. Meanwhile the robot catches his attention. A shadowy knife appears in his hand, and it is thrown right at his neck joint.

*Cakey shoots a blast of ice at the knife, knocking it to the ground*

[Blewcheese]

Austin snarls, another knife growing from his arm. The shadows had melted the ice by then, and Austin resumes the chase, more feral than ever.

[Ellebelly24]

*Cakey is about to run out of Adam. She shoots out her most powerful blast at Austin's legs*

[Blewcheese]

The blast explodes around Austin's feet, sending him flying to the side. He remains dazed for a moment, but a layer of dark matter flows over Austin, and he keeps chasing. However, he is fairly far enough away at this point.

"Bye... Austin..."

*The Adam in her veins was completely gone now. She lay in Spriggums arms, tearing up slightly*

[Battal]

Spriggum causes the trees to close behind him, blocking Austin's line of sight.  He sets Cakey down.

[Ellebelly24]

"Thank you mister tree..."

*she smiles politely at Spriggum*

[Battal]

Without a response, Spriggum walks away.  "You should be safe from the shadowy one here.  I bid you luck in navigating home."

[Blewcheese]

Austin growls, unable to see Cakey or Spriggum. He looks around wildly, and sniffs the air. With a new sense of direction, beastly Austin charges towards the source.

[KidneyBeanBoy]

Meanwhile, Wexley was not as lucky. With the shadow beast having to break free of the ice, he was given a head start, but with the shadow creature's speed and power, it was likely he would be found soon. So after about 20 minutes of running, he settled down and looked for a place to hide, and found a small cave entrance to hide in. At least if nightmare austin found him, he would have more space to run

*Cakey curled up in a ball, warming herself, and smudging all the blood*

"A-Austin?"

*Cakey looks around*

[Blewcheese]

Austin runs rapidly through the brush, now completely inhuman. His hair has grown into something of a mane, and his skin is now enveloped in shadows. He leaps through the shielding trees around Cakey, snarling.

[Ellebelly24]

*Cakey looks at Austin, crystal tears in her eyes*

"Austin?"

[Blewcheese]

Austin runs up to Cake, and swings his knifed hand at her face, disregarding her tears.

[Ellebelly24]

*Cakey dodges and hugs him*

"AUSTIN!!!"

[Blewcheese]

Austin snarls, not seeming to comprehend Cakey's words or actions. Some shadows remove themselves from Austin, and apply themselves to Cakey's skin, while Austin takes another swing.
