MrEntity Posted October 9, 2013 Share Posted October 9, 2013 So I've been waiting for a mini-map to be added to this game since... the beta. Is that ever going to happen? It would be extremely useful for exploring. I am not a fan of constantly stopping, tabbing, and then reorienting myself towards black. It would a myriad other uses, but that's the one I find the most annoying - trying to fill out the map.It should probably also be toggle-able. Last update, last chance. You already have a map without holding an item and having a mini-map is a fairly small upgrade - the only real purpose to it is to save on the ludicrous number of tab-presses required during the process of unblackening it. It has no particular in-game value besides reducing tedium and annoyance and has zero effect on balance or difficulty. It would pretty much be the worst holdable item in the game and serve only to take up space. One step up from the compass. Also your character points in the direction of where your waypoint is. MrEntity Posted October 21, 2013 Author Share Posted October 21, 2013 There's plenty of real estate in the upper left corner. That could be augmented by moving the build bar further down. It doesn't need to be large, really, so it shouldn't take up much room. Plus, as I said, there should be a toggle for the map to be visible or not.
