FDru
I decided to give my dual shock controller a try since it seems like it would be pretty easy to play this game with one. Then I realized that there is about 30+ different bindings, about 20 which are pretty much needed for various things, but only 10 buttons on the controller. Also, the action button seemed to be acting really weird, like I'd be standing directly on a twig, click to harvest and instead my guy would walk over to a piece of flint 5 feet away. So, if anybody is using a controller with any success, how are you setting it up? Boar Head
Well other than just a couple of binding changes it worked well for the most part. Only issue I had is similar to yours but involving combat. I'd try to attack the closest spider in a group but instead my character will go for the one at the back surrounding himself with spiders. Also some things don't work like sometimes it won't give me the option to refuel my lantern with bulbs (lantern can be turned on without equipping it in your hand *cough* *cough* while using controller) and certain items don't give the option to quickly store in chests. That's all I got. I don't feel like I need to mention what bindings I changed since they all had to do with the camera, Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/28594-anybody-using-a-controller/#findComment-339438 Share on other sites
Seyph
For technical issues, I'd suggest reporting them here: http://forums.kleientertainment.com/index.php?/forum/17-dont-starve-bug-tracker/There are still a few kinks to work out with the controllers, but I think it's an overall nice experience for when I want to be more lax. I've only had to change a handful of bindings to suit my playstyle. Cynical Cynicist
Keyboard + Mouse is always quicker and more accurate, so I prefer that.
