Map Generation Degeneration

Is it just me or does the maps feel... odd since the last update?
Trails seem to have become random squiggles that lead no where and paths not much better. Even if the maps are bigger they feel like the much older maps, with things more random and clumped. I no like

I've posted a threat thread on this too. They're claiming that nothing has changed in map generation, but I'm sure something has gone bonkers.

Indeed I agree, The roads I remember well. Once they made sense going in pretty straight lines between bioms and pig villages and now they lead nowhere, twisting in on themselves and crossing themselves multiple times and going in circles in the same biom. Even the Pig vilages are now hidden away in massive forests with no road leading to it. A road might twist through the forrest to some randome place within the forest but it leads nowhere.

And things feel both clustered and yet so far away from each other. Something has gone horribly wrong. Maybe they put back in some older code in the map generation they they previously removed. Something to do with land bridges or something and it just messed up the system. Or perhaps they tried to simplify it?.

And I thought the game just especially hated me taking a break from the multiple gobblers spawning to eat my berry bushes on day one...

 

 

Same here--winding roads, dislocated villages, weirder than normal Eyebone locations (like in the middle of a Grasslands Beehive Zone not near a road or swamp.)
