Walking into one of the houses, Jakob finds a multitude of notes, all burned beyond legibility.  He also finds the shattered remains of a purple amulet.

"Huh.  Weird stuff these people had."  Jakob says, looking at a sketch of a humanoid figure in dapper purple clothing standing next to a odd-looking girl.

Jakob climbs up the tree to the remains of an old treehouse.  He immediately gags as he sees a human skeleton hanging by the arms in the middle of the tree.  What makes it peculiar is that a pair of bladed skeletal wings, glowing dimly, are attached to the skeleton's back.

Joseph continues to wander around. He finds more graves, but most of them are illegible. That is, except one. Joseph looks at it, and the name is recognizable. Wesley Polak. He falls to his knees and utters a word, one of the first he had ever said.

"Pops."

Shadowfall laughs.  "Joseph, look at yourself.  You're already - as they say - 'losing it'.  Sanity only requires a little push to be pushed over the brink...which is what I'm doing."

The demon gestures at the clearing.  "Originally, this was the home of the Demon General of Terror and his friends.  They saved an entire city from destruction,  fought an army single-handedly, and killed a gigantic hydra-beast from the dawn of time."

"I ripped each of that general's bones out of his body one by one.  Then, I put it back together, slaughtered every one of his friends, and destroyed this place.  That was long ago, now.  But why break tradition?"

The tendrils at Shadowfall's boots begin to detach, turning into shadow monsters.

"Scindete eos seorsum!"

Will begins to prepare for battle when he falls to his knees in pain. Some of the veins in the front of his neck are turning different shades of purple and blue. Dark Will takes Will's pack from him.

"Sit back, you seem to be ill."

Dark Will rummages through the pack, trying to find something he was comfortable with. Eventually, he withdraws one of Will's spare daggers and his bow.

"Alright, demon powers. Work your magic."

The two weapons collide into each other, forming an entirely new weapon. It is a bow that, on the edges, are individual daggers. The bow itself is made of a dark purple metal. Unsatisfied, Dark Will also takes the revolver. He removes the ammo inside, and fuses the ammo with the bow. Around the string is an orange circle.

"I suppose this will work. Now, time to take flight."

Dark Will's (I need a real name for him. Any suggestions?) wings from before sprout once again, as he begins lending air support.
