As the title says, I think this is a good suggestion that is worth implementing. In-game, Willow's lunar skill basically says:

"The Cryptic Founder will reward your curiosity with the formula for lunar flames. Use Embers to blast cold lunar flames."

So why not allow Willow use her lunar skill to cool herself or others down, for example during summer. It could also help keep temperatures lower during fights.

Willow doesn’t want lower temperatures, that’s her entire downside

What on Earth are you on about...? Please go in game and look at her quotes for the endothermic firepit at full fuel. She loves all sorts of fire, as long as its fire.

I meant to say from a gameplay perspective it seems frustrating to start going cold while using it especially if it’s winter/spring. Op mentioned fights going down to lower temperatures when that seems like the antithesis to how Willow wants to interact with a fight

I didn’t mean it from a character/personality perspective, I know she loves all types of fire otherwise she wouldn’t be blasting cold lunar flames to begin with. I meant it seems impractical for her ability to potentially trigger her downside

Your idea sounds pretty “cool” until you start taking Cold Damage from using your own Lunar Affinity.

The reason WHY it can’t affect other players outside of PVP is the extreme griefing potential it would have to do a variety of things. Such as Freeze other Willow Players (which immediately starts draining her health when she’s cold By the Way) and trolls could use it to waste other players thermal stone durability (by making the stone go from hot to warm to cool & Vice versa)

I don’t think it’s a good idea to penalize someone for using a skill they needed to kill an end game boss to unlock.

I believe I must have made myself clearer. I do understand that she is not into low temperatures, which is true. However, the way I imagined it is that you would have to walk directly into her fire. It's not like she casts it and immediately lowers your temperature; instead, the player would have to walk into the flames themselves. The same applies to Willow. Since her flames last for a short time, she would be able to walk into them herself by moving in the direction she cast them. Also, I didn't mean for her to freeze players to death. Rather, I meant that her flames would gradually lower a player's temperature and stop at a certain point so that they wouldn't actually freeze. The main idea wasn't to make her more powerful, but simply to add a small detail for fun and immersion, so that her flames would actually feel cold.

We understand where your coming from and while it sounds like it would be neat, it would also make doing boss fights in Multiplayer way more annoying then they need to be… for example: Imagine fighting Klaus with a Lunar Flame using Willow on your Team in Winter, not only are you taking cold damage from Klaus Ice Deer crater & it generally just being Winter, But your ALSO being Kamehameha blasted by your own “Team-Mate” to add to that Cold Temperature.

It wouldn’t matter so much if it was for a skill like “Fireball” but this particular skill is intended to be THE Boss fighting skill for Willow.
