Frustrated
This is a bit odd. Spoiler This was part of a little experiment of mine. The red-circled transformer is connected through the battery to a pair of active hydrogen generators and is fully active and powering up the nearby atmosuit docks. The blue-circled transformer is currently trying (and failing) to power the exosuit forge. The transformer is connected through a battery to this transformer... Spoiler ...also circled in blue. The incoming power circuit is from a battery connected to 3 steam turbines. As you can see, the inbound is active and powering, the outbound is inactive. I'm trying to figure out why this isn't working. There are no breaks in the connection between the blue-circled transformers. MinhPham
The transformer is either disabled by an automation wire, or by ... you, because it hold no charge In the worst case you will need to rebuild it. 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/171281-power-not-powering/#findComment-1865279 Share on other sites
Frustrated
I just checked. It was a stray automation wire from the battery. I rewired that line...but the transformer was still inactive, so I had to connect it to a signal switch. Annoying...but resolved. When automation wire doesnt connected to anything it sends red signal by itself. Destroy it so there wont be any automation wire, and it will work 3 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/171281-power-not-powering/#findComment-1865289 Share on other sites

MinhPham
Can't tell anything, but : Hover your mouse on the carbon skimmer, it should give you enough information Check automation overlay Check if the building is disabled Check if the carbon skimmer have proper output. Hide contents Don't make no sense to me. If you are talking about the carbon skimmer not running, I believe that may be because there is no CO2 in the area. Since there is no CO2, the carbon skimmer shuts off. But it's kind of hard to tell in these overlays. Fleetfeet
Yeah the exhaust pipes of the nat gas gens look like they're carrying co2. If it's not backed up for some funky reason, such as that vent above the skimmer being closed or an alarmingly high o2 pressure, I don't see an issue. Judging by the droplet of ph20 from the nat gas gen, it looks like they're still running. What's the issue? Frustrated
Gotta be honest, I'm not sure. I fixed it by disconnecting them, adding a skimmer below (there are a pair of petroleum generators below that picture) and just letting that run. Given how much CO2 petrol generators produce, it's not hard for the skimmer to find work. Frustrated
Sorry to keep bothering you fine folk, but I don't understand this. Spoiler When it needs to distribute power, it seems to be fine with that, but none of my other transformers show 0 Joules at any point, powered or not. MinhPham
I have no idea how it looks like in your power grid but it is possible that the output of the transformer is connected to a battery, so it will discharge everything it had into that battery and always hold no charge And, i think you're doing it the wrong way ... To prevent overproduction you need to connect the generators with a smart battery. In your image once the two generators active it generate 1600W and your transformer can only distribute 1000W, so the extra 600W is waste. 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/171281-power-not-powering/#findComment-1867273 Share on other sites
