During the mushtree breeding season, spores float around the entire mushroom forest, but in comparison, the demand for them in the game is very small. Mushroom farm or Glowcap/ Enlightened Crown only need a few, which is a bit regrettable. I want them to have more uses.

For example, we can use a mushroom spore and a log to plant mushrooms on the ground (if on the corresponding Fungal Turf, log is not needed), but it is a one-time use. Compared to the fixed location and high yield of mushroom farms, direct planting allows for more freedom in determining their position and does not compete with mushroom farms.

We can also plant spores on dead trees and turn them into mushtrees. According to Wickerbottom and Wagstaff, Mushtrees are regular trees infected with fungal parasites. They all grow when the ground is damp.
