I don't know if it's just my personal illusion, but the skill tree of wx-78 seems like a hastily released half-finished product. Its mechanism and values are in a state similar to draft paper, and its γ chip and faction skills are also not perfect. If klei wants to focus on refining a character's skill tree, Why is it even more rushed and chaotic than when three character skill trees are presented in a row? Moreover, in recent years, the update frequency of the quality of life has been getting lower and lower. There are few great changes like "Reap What You Sow" that are so shocking.

DST is a very good game. I sincerely hope they can be more patient and pay more attention to this game, read more suggestions and feedback from players, and understand their needs. Making some thoughtful updates, even something like "Hold down shift and drop items in place" to improve the quality of life, I think, is something that most players would be happy to see.

With Wx it especially feels like they don't know what role he is supposed to fulfill. circuits, backup bodies, drones... Even though they're really cool concept wise it I think it would've been better if they scrapped the chasis portion of the skilltree entirely, it just makes Wx harder to balance.

this is a hastily released critism

First of all, this is not a critical article. It is merely my personal perspective to expound on the objective facts that exist. By comparing the skill tree updates of Warmwood, Wolfgang and Woodie, you will understand what I want to express.

Secondly, of course I know what the beta version is for. I fully support the saying "slow work makes fine results", and I have no intention of slandering or teasing others, nor do I fabricate facts out of thin air. However, given that this beta update only updates one character and the general framework is not yet fully designed, I merely want to express my concerns and expectations. Is there anything to criticize about this? Or do all the posts only need praise and eulogy? Is this some kind of political correctness?

Finally, before you smartly use pictures to tease others and highlight your sense of superiority, please first reflect on whether the education you received taught you to respect others.

Did absolutely nobody listen when they specifically said that they were releasing this beta several weeks sooner than they normally would? Specifically to get earlier feedback? What’s the point of this post?

Since you asked about the significance, I might as well take the updates in 2023 as an example for you.

2023.2.28 Wilson Refresh started to be updated,

2023.3.27 the "Taking Root" version began to be updated,

2023.6.2 the "Terrors Below" version started to be updated.

2023.7.6 Skill Spotlight: Wormwood, Wolfgang, Woodie.

2023.8.21 Cult of the Lamb Crossover.

2023.9.29 "Host of Horrors" version begins update.

2023.11.30 Skill Spotlight: Wigfrid & Willow.

Please carefully recall whether we will still have this level of update frequency in 2024 and 2025? Of course, I'm not criticizing klei. After all, they are also making efforts to continuously produce content. However, it cannot be denied that the update of DST has reached a "bottleneck period", especially the update of wx-78 around March 20th. Even if, as you said, they want to get earlier feedback, for blank content such as γ circuits and faction skills, What else can everyone give feedback? Did you participate in the design? In response to all the above situations, I merely express my concerns and expectations for this and future updates. This is precisely the significance of my Posting this message.

Of course, you can ignore my concerns and expectations. I'm merely expressing my views based on objective facts. There's no need to quarrel or doubt anything. If the extent to which this statement of facts can be called "criticism", then I think it would be better for everyone to praise each update and there's no need to discuss anything. This way, it would be more harmonious.

If you are a cake shop owner and want to show the ingredients of a cream cake to your customers, would you start with eggs and flour or the cake base and jam?

It is the merchant's job to bake eggs and flour into a cake base. What the customer needs to do is to offer suggestions on what materials to use to decorate this cake base. After all, you can't spread cream on eggs or flour.

At the same time, previously this cake shop could bake three cake bases at once. Now, he carefully makes one cake base that hasn't even been fully baked. For a cake base that hasn't set in the oven yet, how should you decorate it?

I was merely worried about the taste of the cake and hoped it would have a better flavor. I didn't mean to smash this cake shop. Why was there already a crowd of FBI agents outside the door waiting to arrest me?

late reply i know but its lowkey stupid to make suggestions for a cake that was justtt started
the full ingredients havent been added, we're still waiting on the alignments

also i would soooo rather a cake shop give love to one cake, even slowly, to make it taste good instead of rush out 3 cakes at the same time

Will there be more gamma circuits? I don't want to play the beta but from a few videos I've seen they seem like just random fun mechanics that can only make sense if there are a lot of them so people can choose those that they like

The concerns I want to express and the explanations I have made are all above. I think I have made myself clear enough. I have no intention of continuing to argue with you. This is not the original intention of my Posting either. I have said everything that needs to be said. We just need to wait and see the next updates. If the quality of future updates returns to that before 2023, I think it would be something that most people would be happy to see.

my issue with the current update cycle is its producing the same, arguably less content as before with less update frequency. if we got larger updates akin to winona and wurt's skill tree drop, also changing crab king adding marotters and more, then i would be satisfied with the frequency of updates. I think there is definitely an argument of quality assurance, but i think thats kind of the point of betas i feel
