WX-78 Teleportation is unique, but needs adjustments

The design is creative and very interesting. It’s fun to play with and use.

BUT

There needs to be a higher limit to the available spare bodies. It’s not a traditional teleport. Every teleport character can have infinite teleports except WX-78.

WX-78 loses every single item he has inside his body and replaces himself with the body in the destination, which makes this form of teleportation much weaker than other characters’.

there is no reason to limit the amount of bodies to such a small amount (3) when the teleportation itself already has enough drawbacks.

 

also, every WX-78 body needs to have its own stats (except sanity which would be shared). 
it makes no sense if I eat in one body and then be fueled more in another, or be wounded in one body and magically the other body is also wounded.

its not even intended to be made for teleportation. It’s alternative bodies that you can equip with different setups, and use to revive. The teleportation is a bonus.

 

You can use his delivery drones and then it’s basically just teleportation.

It’s not an alternative. Let’s be honest: the most useful thing about the bodies is the teleportation ability, and it’s not even close to other perks that a body have. You can use delivery drones, which is an acceptable solution, but you can’t transfer your circuits. Alternatively, you can equip the same setup for your bodies, but that’s just too much work.

If it transferred your circuits they would be worse.

 

The main use is using them to store circuit setups.

Honestly I agree, but for every +1 chassis you need to invest a skill point
so to get the teleportation skill, you will need to spend 1 point for crafting chassis, 1 point for reviving at chassis, 12 points for 12 chassis and at the end you cand spend 1 point for the teleport. (to get teleport skill you will have to invest all 15 skill points into chassis skill line)

The current amount is perfect. You have to choose between free easy teleports, or various different chassis applications. I don't get why people are trying to argue that it's a problem that you don't have enough chassis to teleport to every location you want and have enough configurations for every application you want. Is it also a problem that you only have 15 skill points instead of 30 and can't claim everything on the tree? Making choices is good, having everything is bad. You choose to play WX, you choose what skills you want, then you choose how you use those skills. The more steps of choosing you remove the less room for individuality, expression, and varying playstyles there are.

Right now I could have one playthrough where I focus on having a bunch of different chassis setups, and another playthrough where I focus on a teleporting network, and those two playthroughs would be considerably different from each-other despite both of them being on WX-78. If he had two or three times as many husks like you guys are proposing that wouldn't really happen. Every playthrough you'd have more than enough husks to both have the teleport network to every location you want and have a bunch of bodies set up for different builds.
