Any way to fix these?

The map is old enough that the mooteors could have been stuck there since their countdown passed through 0. The unrevealed one triggers a telescope errand, gets revealed, but nothing else happens.

Nothing egregious on the planetoid, although... The cows do often land in a pneumatic door set to auto. And and that door is ~3k cycles old... 🤔

I dug out the saves from 3 cycles before the first of those mooteors crossed the 0 time threshold - it was already on the planetoid hex. Revealing it with a telescope did nothing.

C. 2661: Save from just before that batch of meteor showers generated. If I let it generate again, no shower spawns on the gas planet, and the mooteor shower spawns on the opposite side of the starmap.

The most recent stuck shower must have been generated this January under U57, so the issue is still present.

Update:

  • On reddit I was told this is due to the planetoid being in the outermost ring (this is where meteor showers spawn), which seems to be either a baator-specific quirk of starmap, or a bug in the version that generated the starmap, which should be fixed now. I check several maps on mapsnotincluded as well as generated a few locally and indeed, I never got a planetoid on the outermost ring - the starmaps generated would be bigger to accomodate every planetoid within.
  • I only recently found out that intracosmic blastshots were available without the PPP DLC. I queued up an order for as many as there were stuck mooteors, built an extra meteor blaster on the home planetoid, and fired of the blastshots gradually as they were made. All 5 were en-route at once. And as the first blastshot hit, one mooteor got obliterated... and all other en-route blastshots disappeared. :wilson_facepalm:
