Beanbooster circuits are obviously super bugged so any balance discussion about them is pointless, but what isn’t so bugged is the super hearty circuits. Along with their previous effect, they give what appears to be around 20% damage resistance each. Suddenly, that 575 hp that wx has with 3 super hearty circuits is more like 900+ without armor, which is just a little absurd. I think the damage resistance should maybe be replaced with something like a slight boost to healing received per circuit, so that instead of increasing their already massive max health even more they can just have a slightly easier time filling it back up.

20% each seems too strong.

thats basically perma grass armour with a huge health pool that stacks with other armour.

Should probably be 15 or 20% for the first circuit, then 10%, then 5% for 25 or 30% total.

Also increasing healing is basically the same as damage resistance in a way it’s just slightly more maintenance.

I think another approach that could be kinda neat is reducing the durability wear on armor itself when using the circuits. It could be a fun approach to encourage a tank style gameplay by greatly improving how long armor can withstand boss attacks, while still giving you a safety buffer when you don't have armor via the increased HP pool.

Part of me kinda wishes this could be tweaked to where wx couldn't wear armor and instead relied on damage reduction and the bean over shield.

i dont really think restrictions like that are very fun, i hate when modded characters do it and id absolutely hate if any normal characters had those sorts of restrictions as well.

The difference is he has defense on par with armor which gives a unique take with further choices to make it even more favorable. I like when characters are more distinct and carve out their own ways to deal with the world and combat.

how does it make WX more distinct? it kind of just forces them to use the hardy and beanbooster circuits which goes against their attempts to make circuit builds more diverse. I'm all for distinctness in characters but restricting equipment slots, a core component of the game, is not the way to go. it'd be much better to make the hardy and beanbooster circuits more reasonable instead.

Well obviously that's why it'd need to be tweaked to account a lack of normal armor and he'd also need base changes as otherwise the game would be near unplayable for him. I do realize it would take too much work to implement though which does make me wish single player was still being developed for since it's an idea that would fit so much better there.
